Gachiakuta chapter 172.2, “United by Fate,” continues Kyouka’s interrogation of Rudo and expands on the connection between the Hell Guards, the Watchman Series, and the Apostles. Kyouka explains that the Apostles received their unusual powers through exposure to the gods, and these powers have been passed down through generations. Rudo then learns that his own situation is different because the strange mark and power he carries are connected to his ancestors, particularly the Undertaker. The conversation makes Rudo’s connection to the gods and the Watchman Series even more mysterious, while Kyouka begins to suspect that Rudo may be connected to the history of the Ground in a way nobody fully understands yet.
