Gachiakuta chapter 158, “The Kind and Gentle Avenger,” continues immediately after Rudo transforms using Gountess’s power. Rudo’s new wolf-like form gives him a huge boost in strength, and he charges straight at Mymo. Mymo is surprised because Rudo’s transformation is different from his own and doesn’t require Rudo to sacrifice his humanity. Rudo manages to overpower Mymo and tears through his defenses, but Mymo refuses to accept defeat and keeps trying to fight back. Gountess realizes that Rudo’s strength comes not only from anger and revenge, but also from the connections he has built with other people. The chapter ends with Rudo continuing his attack on Mymo while Gountess watches, realizing that Rudo may actually be able to defeat him.
